Overview
Darryl joined ECG in 2008. As a senior consultant, he provides leadership in the delivery of functional and technical consulting solutions for ECG clients.
Highlights of ECG Consulting Projects
In the past year, Darryl was engaged to support implementation of the Banner financial aid module for a large school client. This included system testing, as well as project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure that all issues were resolved prior to the go-live date. Most recently, he served as the interim director of financial aid under an extended engagement with a university client. During this time, Darryl provided oversight for an annual budget of $65,627,807 in federal, state, and institutional funds; and led the successful implementation of direct lending and year-round Pell Grant processing for the 2010-2011 aid year.
In addition, Darryl has supported several other consulting projects:
- Documenting and redesigning system process workflows;
- Integrating the PowerCAMPUS student information system and PowerFAIDS financial aid system;
- Conducting financial aid and IT operational reviews;
- Evaluating and planning for the implementation of the Regent financial aid system; and
- Supporting the reimplementation and configuration of the PowerFAIDS financial aid system.
Key Prior Experience and Skills
Prior to joining ECG, Darryl was a systems consultant at SCT SunGard, working with schools on automated tracking/budgeting/packaging processes and multi-tiered automated gift aid procedures. He also performed project scheduling and end-user training for schools.
At Holmes Community College in Mississippi, Darryl served in multiple positions as the Banner project manager, director of financial aid, and the Oracle DBA associate project manager for information technology. Darryl led the upgrade of SCT Banner ERP system version 6 to 7, which included the human resource, finance, student, and financial aid areas; managed the implementation of the Banner self-service module; and led the implementation of the Banner financial aid module and other SCT Banner ERP systems. As the lead on several Banner implementation projects, Darryl completed these projects on time and within budget. He is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Darryl also has experience in web development and systems implementation for various Fortune 500 companies.
