Overview

Kathleen uses her writing, editing, and program management expertise to promote ECG in the marketplace. Working directly with the president & CEO, she participates in client discovery activities, develops comprehensive statement of work proposals, and reviews and edits client deliverables. She also assists with strategic marketing efforts and provides other support to ensure the smooth operations of the company.

 
Highlights of Consulting Projects

In the past year, Kathleen provided extensive documentation support to draft, edit, and format a comprehensive management consulting report for a client engagement. The report and associated appendices totaled over 500 pages. In addition, she coordinated the internal review of multiple client deliverables using SharePoint collaboration technology.

She also assisted a client with managing the federal grant application process by ensuring that the application response was thorough and submitted according to U.S. Department of Education guidelines.

 
Previous Experience and Skills

Kathleen joined ECG in 2007 with nearly 20 years of experience in areas of financial aid administration, marketing, and editing. Her previous positions include:

  • College Planning Supervisor, Nelnet, Inc.
  • Editor & Debt Management Program Manager, Nellie Mae, Inc.
  • Financial Aid Officer, Harvard Medical School
  • Writer/Editor, National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA)
 
Special Awards and Accomplishments

Kathleen was awarded an Evans annual award and quarterly award in 2010 in recognition of her service to ECG. During her tenure at Nellie Mae, she was awarded employee of the year and made television appearances on CNN's "Your Money" show as a debt management subject matter expert. In addition, she has published several articles in industry newsletters, and served as chairperson and member of the editorial board for NASFAA's Student Aid Transcript magazine.
