Overview

Andrea joined ECG as a consultant in 2008.  She works with school clients to support operational goals.

Key Experience and Skills

Prior to joining ECG, Andrea gained eight years of experience as a financial aid counselor at SUNY Geneseo and the Eastman School of Music.  Through her in-depth experience in the New York state higher education market, she has acquired expertise with:

• Loan requirements under both the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and Direct Loan program.
• Loan processing via ELM Resources and the New York Higher Education Services Corporation (NYHESC).
• Banner system implementation and upgrades.
• Award packaging, counseling, and other day-to-day activities related to administering financial aid.

Highlights of Accomplishments

Andrea has been an active member and served in leadership roles on several committees for the New York Student Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA).  She also created a federal work-study (FWS) database and participated in a pilot program to hire FWS students through the PeopleAdmin system.
