Overview

John serves an integral role on the ECG management team as director of operations.  He coordinates with the president/CEO on new project development, oversees independent contractors, and manages existing contracts.  John also provides project management leadership for several key clients, manages the company's marketing plan, and supervises staff assigned to client sites.

Key Experience and Skills

John's financial aid career began at his alma mater, the University of Miami in Coral Gables, where he worked for nine years.  His accomplishments as assistant director included automating the Institutional Student Information Report (ISIR) review process and leading the implementation of a web-based software system.  John's approach to systems and management combines hard-nosed data modeling with a willingness to explore alternative solutions.

Highlights of Accomplishments

Since joining ECG in 2004, John has directed the company's overall strategic planning and operations, and facilitated infrastructure changes to support corporate growth.  His client-focused contributions include:

• Coordinating management support for clients transitioning financial aid directors and providing staff training.
• Responding to U.S. Department of Education Program Review findings and defining data requirements for the file reconstructions.
• Leading numerous file reconstructions, including a reconstruction project for over 14,000 files and $20 million in liability.
• Managing a large RFP process for vendor selection.
