For fifteen years, Mr. Flaherty has served various roles at St. John Fisher College from fiscal manager and loan administrator to becoming the Associate Bursar of the college. In his capacity as a fiscal manager, he supervised the daily operations of the student accounts office and managed the receipt and disbursements of payments. As a loan administrator, he created and maintained the Bursar’s website, tracked and reconciled all the student loan records and petty cash funds, and balanced and maintained the ATM machines on campus.

Finally, as the Associate Bursar, Mr. Flaherty supervised and trained the professional staff, and managed the disbursement of all financial aid funds and returns of loan funds. He initiated and reviewed all students billing, assisted in the compliance with Federal Title IV regulations, and served as the liaison for the college and the Health tuition discount and billing program. He has had professional experience with the New York State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators and participated in multiple work teams for Banner Users Group, Administrative Technology and the Banner Student Work Team.
